Obituary

Memorial Service Facebook Post

I was at Coronado high as a freshman in 1972 -3. My navy father was redeployed to Pensacola naval air station along Florida’s gulf coast. I enjoyed the warm blue waters, white sand beaches and canoe trips down the swampy rivers, but the racism, bigotry, humidity and bugs was no Coronado. I finished my high school years at a racially tense southern minded public high school with barbed wire around the fences, deputized teachers who packed heat. It was a far cry from the casual dreamy lifestyle and cool hip attitudes at Coronado high. I missed that a lot.

I had begun exhibiting my art while in Coronado and continued to show throughout my teen years. I had enough success to encourage me to pursue art for a living as an adult.

Married, divorced, no kids, years of art shows, bla, bla,

Now I am both a painter and sculptor with many public works on display in several cities and hundreds of private collections. I settled in the art colony of Laguna Beach California. My studio is on the canyon rd. my website is www.terrythornsley.com lease feel free to contact or visit me. Many blessings alumnus.
