Concert in the Park

Spreckels Park BYO Reunion Picnic

Sunday, July 3rd, 3:30 pm

Concert in the Park begins at 6 pm!

Then All Class Reunion, 8 pm

There will be a Sunday afternoon reunion picnic in Spreckels Park on July 3rd, and some other scheduled rendezvous as well.  The picnic will be bring your own, but we'll have some extras like a reunion cake and some 70's song singing, then end with the Concert in the Park starting at 6.  Consider Wendy Sanger's business Ganosh Gourmet to order a delivered meal. Let us know if you'll be there and we'll have name tags ready for you and your family.  If you’d like to help with ideas, planning and/or hosting please contact one of the following: Jenn Pecus-Settle, Leslie Gaffrey-Brazier, Lisa Grote-Gary, Kate (Katie) Shanahan-Campbell, Jeann Woods-Hughes or Dan Duringer.   Check the 76islanders.org website and the new class Facebook group Coronado High Islanders - Class of 1976 for updated information.  Please forward this information around to ’76 alumni you have email addresses for and hope to see you over the 4th in Coronado.

4:15 pm - Dinner at Miguels Cocina: We have reservations already for twelve but need to know ahead of time if you want to be included.  Address: 1351 Orange Avenue in Coronado

7 pm - Meet at North Beach at the rocks to view the sunset.

8 pm - The Music Man at Lambs Player's Theatre: Tickets can be purchased online or by calling 619-437-6050.  Sorry, no group seating is available.   Website: www.LambsPlayer.org

Sunday, July 3rd 

6:30 am Sharp - Coronado Beach Walk: Meet at Central Beach next to the lifeguard towers.  Go to the 1134 Cafe for coffee and pastries afterwards.

10:30 am - Methodist Church Service: Everyone invited. 

Noon - Visit Coach Green: The Villa Coronado  233 Prospect Place across from Sharp Coronado Hospital Villa phone : 1-619-522-3900.  Probably just four people "Maximum"... It's during his lunch hour and in the the main commons room there. Meet at 11:30 am in front of the Villa Coronado ... we can buy our snack to eat with Coach at the Sharp Hospital cafeteria across the street.

Monday, July 4th

1 pm - Bike and Brew: The 'ol Class of 70's way :) starting pint (point) is McPs Irish Pub & Grill, (1107 Orange Avenue), then down and along Glorietta Bay to Rick Chapman's Coronado Brewery Company (170 Orange Avenue).  We'll ride past the yacht club, tennis courts, golf course, then under the bridge, onto the bay walk to the Coronado Landing, then down Orange Avenue to the Brew Company.  Bikes and Beyond has cruisers for rent at $20/4 hours or $30/day.  No reservations are taken, first come first served.  They will open at 9 am on the 4th.

3:45 pm - Coronado Museum of History & Art.  Closes at 5:00pm.

Coronado 4th of July Celebration Schedule

Annual All-Class Reunion, Golf Course
8:00 to 11:30PM: 
For graduates of Coronado High school and their friends, must be 21 years old to attend.   Proceeds help support the Coronado Schools Foundation. Cost: $10 at the door.

Sunday's Concert In The Park, 6 PM
Band: Tommy Price and the Stilettos (listen)
The Stilettos play rockabilly and swing tunes from the '50s and early '60s, along with originals and contemporary rockabilly.
